Our Lutheran Early Response Team (LERT) has been in contact with our sister congregation, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, since the devastating fire in Maui to assess their needs and determine how we can best support their congregation at this time. While their church building was spared, many of their congregants lost everything. Our LERT team is planning a fundraiser with all donations going to Emmanuel Lutheran to distribute to their congregants who have been affected.
Please join us in our Fellowship Hall, Sunday, October 8 from 9 - 11:30 am for a Hawaiian-themed extended coffee hour with Hawaiian treats, coffee, lemonade, music, and hula dancing. Suggested donation of $2 per person, everyone who donates will receive one raffle ticket for fun prizes. Additional tickets can be purchased - $2 for 1 ticket or $5 for 5. Our goal is to raise $1,000 to send to the congregation of Emmanuel Lutheran.
