INTERGENERATIONAL MINISTRY DIRECTOR

St. Lukes Lutheran is seeking an individual ready to suffer to serve others, someone sacrificial with their time, talents, and treasures for the sake of building relationships and community through faith with a strong commitment to Lutheran Theology and a learning mentality. This person will join a team of servant leaders who work long hours, with little recognition or accolades, with the hope of seeing young and old come together to be the Church as described in the Scripture. Outcome Statement

When St. Lukes has engaged the ideal Intergenerational Ministry Director, the outcomes we expect will be:

  • Virtually all members of all age groups of the church community will be engaged, fostering intergenerational relationships.
  • Engaged children will grow into engaged youth who will grow into engaged adults growing relationships through faith: UP, IN, and OUT, and retention of our children will become the norm, not the exception, after high school/college.
  • Strong, spiritual foundations will be established and fostered throughout all of our children and youth ministries that prepare this generation to live faithfully and effectively as the Church in this world.  
  • All ministries of the church will grow and be supported by people of all generations being involved in the ministry.
  • All of this will occur through a strong leader in our church in close partnership with our Pastor and key leaders.

Focus

The Purpose of the Intergenerational Ministry Director is to advance our mission of growing relationships through faith: UP, IN, and OUT, by fostering relationships between all generations of the church for the sake of community and the Great Commission. The priority of the Intergenerational Ministry Director is on intergenerational community with a focus on children and youth by equipping leaders to engage in the raising up of future generations in the faith.
